Being an armchair aerospace enthusiast, I can confirm off the top of my head, that the IDF F-16’s that bombed the Iraqi nuke facility in the 80’s or w./e it was did fly in at low level, below 500 feet,, re; Pearce’s worries about the authenticity of that concept in the movie. The IDF planned a route over the Iraqi desert not covered by AA guns and they also avoided airfields, even if it meant a longer route. Just before they reach the target, they rise up to altitude to drop the ordinance, usually thousands of feet depending on what they used, can’t remember unless I go look it up….
